Let’s talk about one of my favorite things for a minute.
BRUNCH.
It’s one word that just makes me all kinds of happy. What’s not to love about waking up late, saundering into the kitchen in pj’s, whipping up something delicious, and gathering around the table to enjoy the best meal of the day (in my opinion) with family.
I’m really not picky when it comes to most breakfast food, but my sugar loving heart always tends to go for the sweet stuff, which usually involves some sort of griddle masterpiece smothered in warm syrup.
I’ve had my fair share of pancakes, but I’m always on the hunt for easy recipes that can transform the typical short stack into something extraordinary. And that’s where today’s post comes in…
I headed over to my local Walmart store and picked up a few ingredients of some of my favorite flavors to combine together into one perfect brunch item…S’mores pancakes!
Melted chocolate, crunchy graham crackers, and ooey gooey syrup all rolled up into one fluffy pancake! And the best part….?
They onle require a few simple ingredients and are so simple to make! They don’t take much more time that your traditional pancake recipe, and add a yummy twist to your normal brunch plate.
Ready to treat your family to a fun twist from your normal pancake routine?
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- 2 Cups of of Aunt Jemima Original Complete Pancake Mix
- 2 Tablespoons of Aunt Jemima Original Syrup
- 1/2 Cup of Crushed Graham Crackers (plus some for your topping)
- 1/2 Cup of Milk Chocolate Chips (plus some for your topping)
- 2 Cups of Marshmallow Fluff
- 1 1/2 Cups of Water, Plus 3 Tablespoons of Hot Water
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
Combine the pancake mix, and 1 1/2 cups of water and stir until large lumps disappear. Add 1/2 cup of crushed graham crackers and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the batter and stir until just mixed.
Spray your skillet with cooking spray, and then scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto your skillet for each pancake.
Flip your pancakes when they begin to bubble on top and the bottoms are golden brown.
Remove from heat and keep warm while mixing your marshmallow syrup topping.
For your topping, combine 2 cups of marshmallow fluff, 2 tablespoons of syrup, and 3 tablespoons of hot water in a separate container. Mix well, until blended, smooth, and pourable. If desired, you can heat in the microwave for 15 seconds to warm mixture.
Pour the marshmallow syrup over the tops of your cooked pancakes. Top with crushed graham crackers and chocolate chips.
Enjoy this fun and easy new take on a traditional pancake with your family next weekend for brunch!
