May is officially here, but I’m a little behind schedule with my monthly favorites, due to a weekend girl’s trip to Moab. (You can see the highlights over on Insta!) But I wasn’t about to miss sharing my new obsessions with you guys and all of the things that I’ve been hooked on for the last month! I’m covering skincare, footwear, and wine….what’s not to love?!
1). These hiking shoes saved my feet in Moab and I can’t wait to use them all Summer long. They feel like sneakers, don’t hurt or bunch up my toes, are light weigh, and super flexible. And I know it’s weird, but the shoelaces also never come undone, which I didn’t realize I’d appreciate as much as I do. I spent three days straight in them and had zero issues. They are a bit of a splurge, but totally worth the price tag. Comfy hiking shoes that look like sneakers? Count me in.
2). Between working a full time job, running a blog on the side, and trying to have some sort of a social life, I feel like I miss out on a lot of things happening around the world. Reading about the going-on’s in the world just doesn’t fit into my timeline usually, and it should. So after I caught wind of the weekly newsletter from Hitha On the Go, I signed up immediately. Every Saturday she sends out her best 25 reads from the Internet, her fave new finds and items she’s loving, plus a breakdown of what you need to catch up on from each day of the week that you may have missed. I usually end of reading it on Monday morning at the office while I’m sipping my coffee, but it’s something I look forward to every week. I feel smarter, more well rounded, and more informed every time a new newsletter hits my inbox. Let me know if you sign up and get hooked on it like I did!
3). These pimple patches are my new favorite thing. They are little patches that you stick right on top of your pimple and let them work their magic. They come in two different sizes, to cover not only the little guys but those big, under the skin, soooo painful you want to cry, pimples as well. And did I mention they are allllmost invisible? There have been a few times that I forget I’m even wearing them! I stick mine on right before bed and sleep with them on all night, and they never fall off, but you could definitely wear them during the day too. I love that they prevent you from touching or picking your pimples, and also draw out fluids and oils to reduce inflammation too. Plus, they contain zero parabens, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances and are 100% vegetarian. You get 40 patches in a box for around $5 and they last for quite a while! I’m hooked!
4). I blame my trip to Napa last summer for an ever evolving wine obsession. (Once you go Napa, you never go back. I’m also hooked on Napa….can I add that to the list this month?) I’ve slipped into a wine induced coma and I don’t plan on coming up for air anytime soon. I downloaded and starting using the WTSO app on my phone and love it. (They have a website too!) It stands for “wines till sold out” and is a fun (and easy!) way to shop. Each day they post a few new featured wines that you can purchase. The varietals vary and change every few hours, but it’s a fun way to read about, purchase, and sample wines that you may not have access to. They also offer free shipping, if you meet the bottle limit, and can hold your wine in a climate controlled warehouse for up to a year for no additional charge if you’re not quite ready for a delivery. (Depending on your state laws, they may not be able to ship to you, so check into that, but hopefully you have friends or family somewhere else that can accept shipments for you! 😉 )
5). These suede mules are exactly what my closet needed to transition from spring into summer. I have the mocha mousse color, which is the perfect pale blush. I love the little gold stud details around the heel. Super comfy and adorable with cut off jeans too. I’ve been wearing mine non-stop and keep looking for reasons to pair them with another outfit. They come in black and red too and are under $60 right now! I also love these ones too as a good back up pair!
6). If you’ve been around for a little bit, you know I’m trying to switch over to all natural and clean beauty products, and one of the hard ones to find a clean dupe for is perfume. This one is as clean as I can find that I still really love. It’s made with high quality ingredients, including essential and natural oils from all over the world, and natural plant-based alcohol. It’s formulated without phthalates, parabens and petroleum and is 100% Vegan and cruelty-free. And at right around $20, they hit the bank account mark too. The persian rose and blood orange scents are my fave!
Let me know if you snag any of these guys, what you think of the newsletter, and if you get hooked on the perfume or acne patches like I did!
