Although I’m a little sad that summer is coming to an end, one thing that I’m looking forward to is football season! There’s nothing like sitting down with friends to watch a game, eat your favorite snacks, and sip on a beverage or two. Since football season is right around the corner, I’m sharing some easy fall football party ideas to help you score a touchdown at your next event!
To get myself football party ready this year, I took a trip over to my local Sam’s Club to grab all of the ingredients I needed to put together an epic football spread! I especially love their “scan & go” option which lets me scan items as I shop, pay from my phone, and skip the checkout line! It’s such a time saver and I really wish other stores offered the same thing! If you haven’t tried it, you definitely need to!!
When you’re planning your fall football party, don’t be afraid to take things outside! Fall weather is still great and utilizing a deck or patio for food or drink stations is a great way to keep your guests moving and to prevent the inside of your house from getting too crowded.
For the drinks you’ll be serving something interactive is always fun for your guests, like this DIY soda bar station, using my favorite Coca-Cola® products that I picked up from Sam’s Club. I love being able to grab all of the beverages that I need for such a great value!
Pick a few mixers that will pair well with Coca-Cola® products, like Sprite® and Coca-Cola® Mini Cans. I served lime juice, coconut syrup, and cherry syrup, plus cherries and lime wedges for garnish, too!
Add your favorite Coca Cola® beverage to your cup.
Select a mixer, add to the Coca Cola® and stir.
Top it off with a garnish or two!
It’s a fun way for your guests to get involved and serve themselves so that you don’t have to be stuck standing around the drinks table during the whole game! 😉
When picking the menu, choose items that are easy for guests to eat with one hand. Veggies and dip, popcorn, pretzels, and wings are all perfect choices.
My fall football party ideas wouldn’t be complete without some decor to add to your tables!
If your guests need a little help figuring out where the snacks are, add an easy to make concession stand banner to your table. I picked up a premade banner from a local party store and added my own letters to each piece using a white chalk pen, which you can pick up from any craft store. You can also make your own using black construction paper, a hole punch, and some string!
I lined my plates with black and white striped paper, to replicate football officials, and to add a fun pop to an otherwise boring plate.
I also picked up some outdoor astro turf from my local home improvement store and used it as a “placemat” for each of the items on the concessions table. Pom poms, footballs, and foam fingers are an easy and a great way to add some party decor!

A party isn’t complete without some balloons and you can turn some normal brown balloons into footballs using a white chalk pen!
Draw a long line down the middle and center of your balloon. Add cross lines, or “stitches” down the length of the center line.
Allow the balloons to dry and then add them to your table decor!
Don’t forget to add some “penalty flag” napkins to your table for guests to use in case they have a food foul!
