My Favorite Cookbooks
I’ll be the first to admit that I have a cookbook obsession. It’s hard not to add another one into the cart (and to my growing collection) when the images on every page are so stunning and the recipes make me want to run into the kitchen to become the next Food Network star. For the last few years, I’ve been trying to make an effort to reach for one of them when I’m looking for recipe inspiration, instead of searching online. Yes, online recipes are easy to find and there are SO many great ones out there, but I always seem to forget that I have amazing options sitting right in front of me too! If you’re like me, or just want to jump start your holiday baking, I’m sharing some of my favorite cookbooks with you guys today, which I’ve somehow managed to narrow down, which is no small feat!
Pumpkin Biscuits (with Maple Butter)
Pumpkin seems to become a trending topic during the fall and winter months, but after you make these easy pumpkin biscuits (with maple butter no less!) you might start incorporating pumpkin year round. They come together in no time and have the perfect hint of pumpkin in each and every bite. And can we talk about that maple butter…? The sweetness takes these pumpkin biscuits to another level and I won’t fault you for trying to find other things to spread it on. It’s that good. [Read more…]
How To Make Shaped Butter
Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away and, thankfully, I think I’m off the hook for preparing dinner this year. It’s my first year close to Josh’s family and I was fully prepared to be the one hosting everyone in our rental house, which would have been less than ideal. But Josh’s aunt saved the day and invited us over to her place. Not sure I’ll get so lucky next year though. 😉 If you’re in charge of dinner prep for your family’s thanksgiving festivities this year, I’m sure you’re on the hunt for the perfect table setting and all of the yummy recipes. But one detail that often gets overlooked is the butter. It’s something simple, but with the easiest little entertaining trick you can turn it into a showstopper. In today’s post, I’m showing you guys how to make shaped butter, which is SO simple, but can really elevate your Thanksgiving table!
Chai Tea Ice Cream Recipe
I don’t think there’s ever a bad time of year for ice cream. Sure, the weather cools down and you may not want to be eating a cone outside, but the right scoop of ice cream paired with some warm apple pie or on top of a warm brownie can really hit the spot during the winter months! This chai tea ice cream recipe is easy to make and is the perfect fall treat with all of those spicy chai flavors. (I especially love crumbling up some biscoff cookies to add on top too!) Switch up your normal cup of chai tea and try it in a bowl this year!

These printable door hangers are cute and add that perfect little hotel touch right at home!
Cozy Fall Playlist
Some of you may have snow already (Utah, I’m talking to you…), but here in North Carolina it’s finally starting to feel like fall. The leaves on the trees are changing colors and I’ve been loving the sound of the leaves crunching under my feet when I take Sophie for a walk. The mornings are crisp and cool and I feel like it makes me appreciate my morning coffee just a little bit more. If you’re craving a little bit more “fall” in your life, and you haven’t already jumped full swing onto the Christmas music bandwagon, I’m sharing the perfect cozy fall playlist today that will want to make you curl up in a blanket, sip something warm, and relax. (Watching the snow or the rain fall while listening is an added bonus).
Printable November 2019 Calendar: Coloring Pages!
Feels like it’s been a minute since I’ve been here on the blog (and it has!), because I was on my honeymoon in Italy for the last few weeks! We just got back yesterday and we’re TIRED. I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation and one that includes some sort of frozen beverage, on the beach, with a paper umbrella in it. Not that I’m complaining…Italy was AMAZING! But we did SO much that it kinda wore us out, but in the best way. (You can see the highlights on Insta stories!) Because we were gone for so long, I feel a little bummed (but only slightly), that I missed out on all of the Halloween and October festivities. It’s my favorite holiday and, poof, here we are in November already! I read a post online that said Christmas is only 7 Fridays away. (Insert shocked emoji face here). But let’s just focus on November, shall we? I may be a few days behind schedule, but I’m back with the newest printable November 2019 calendar coloring page today!
