Easter might look a little different this year, but I still wanted to sneak a fun easter egg decorating tutorial into the mix that you guys STILL have time to do before Sunday! These Easter eggs are ready to party , even though they’re stuck at home, and yours can become party animal Easter eggs too with a few simple supplies and some creativity!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Markers or Paint
- Eggs
- Tape
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks
- Printable Party Hat File
Draw some fun and silly faces onto the eggs using markers or paint. (Transfer or tattoo paper would work well too!)
Allow them to dry completely.
But, let’s face it…an egg with a face isn’t a party animal without some party hats, right?
The animal print party hats are so much fun and sooooo easy to make.
First, download the printable party animal easter eggs hat file.
Cut out the pattern, roll up the hats, and secure with a small piece of tape.
You can add mini pom poms if you have some on hand, like I did for these party animal easter eggs, but you don’t need them! These hats are just as fun without them.
Using a hot glue gun, add a little bit of glue around the edge of the hats and attach to your eggs. (You don’t need much at all!)
Allow the glue to dry.
Now assemble all of your eggs together, turn on a little music, throw some confetti, and let the party animals do what they do best…PARTY!
They’re definitely celebrating Easter in style. 😉
If you’re looking for other easter egg decorating ideas and tutorials, I love these watermelon easter eggs, these sprinkle easter eggs, and these animal print easter eggs. (Apparently I have a thing with animal print).
Let me know if you guys end up making these guys and share pics with me on instagram too!
