I can definitely say that we’ve been cooking and baking A LOT at our house during quarantine. It’s been fun to re-connect in the kitchen, but sometimes you really just need to get out and grab something from your favorite restaurant in town. Luckily, they’ve kept the restaurants open for take out and we’ve splurged a few times, because it’s all about supporting local and keeping your faves in business, right? In honor of that, I’m sharing some fun printable temporary take out tattoos that you can print right from the comfort of your own home! They’re fun for the whole family to play around with during quarantine, and since most of us are working from home right now, your boss won’t judge you either 😉
The printable file comes complete with two full sets of take out food themed tattoos (just cut them right down the center!), so you can keep them all to yourself or mail them to a friend for a fun virtual activity that you can both do together, all while supporting your favorite local take out for dinner too!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Scissors
- Damp Cloth or Paper Towel
- Temporary Tattoo Paper (I love these ones)
- Printable Temporary Take Out Tattoos File
- Printer
Print the file onto the tattoo paper, following the instructions listed on the back of the tattoo sheets packaging. These sheets are made for a specific cutting machine, but you can use them with any at-home printer too!
Once printed and ready to apply, cut out each image. The closer you cut around each image, the less of an amount of visible tattoo sheet will show on your skin. (But do leave a little room so you have something to peel off without damaging the images!)
Peel off the plastic protection sheet (the clear one) over the tattoo and place the tattoo onto your skin, face down.
Apply a damp paper towel or cloth over the top of your tattoo, completely covering the paper backing. Press and hold for 10-15 seconds. (It’s usually done when you can see your tattoo design through the back of the white backing sheet).
Remove the paper towel and slowly peel off the paper backing to reveal your finished design.
Apply as many or as little as you like and sport them around town while you go and pick up take out from your favorite restaurants!
Or just pick up desserts from your favorite bakery like I do 😉
