I feel like you’re either team candy corn or not. There’s no in between. It’s strange, because I never loved candy corn as a kid. I always thought it was waxy and flavorless, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve started liking it more and more. (What does that say about my tastebuds?) If you’re on the pro-candy corn train, these candy corn Halloween cocktails are right up your alley, and if not, vodka is involved so what’s not to like? 😉
- 1 Cup Candy Corn
- 1 Cup Vodka
- ½ oz. Pineapple Juice
- ½ oz. Ginger Beer
- 3 oz. Tonic Water
In a pitcher or glass storage jar, add the candy corn. Pour the vodka over the candy corn and mix well.
Let the mixture sit for 1-2 days, or until all of the the candy corn has dissolved. Stir the mixture occasionally to distribute the pieces of candy corn.
Small sediment on the bottom of your candy corn vodka is ok. Just stain before mixing your drinks or shake well.
Store the infused vodka at room temperature or in the fridge until you’re ready to make your drinks.
To make the cocktails, add ice to a cocktail shake and add 2 1/2 oz. of the candy corn vodka, pineapple juice and ginger beer.
Shake until the cocktail is chilled, then pour into martini glasses.
Top off the glasses with tonic water.
I like to place a piece of candy corn onto the rim of each glass for garnish. If you press down very gently, the candy corn will indent just enough to sit right on the edge of the glass!
