March 17th celebrates the traditional date of death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day also happens to be celebrated in more countries than any other national festival! Crazy, right?! But for most people, it’s just an excuse to drink green beer, dress like a leprechaun, and eat traditional Irish grub! And an excuse for me to make cute kitschy desserts too! This year, I’m not waiting around to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow…I’m making my own pot of gold with these St. Patrick’s Day Golden Coin Cookies!
Today, I’m sharing the easiest white hot chocolate recipe that you can fix and forget in the crockpot and the CUTEST North Pole stir sticks that will get everyone into the holiday spirit! This pumpkin rice krispy treat pie is a delicious alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving dessert and it’s easy to make too!
Pumpkin…the mascot of October and the pie of choice for November. But, I have a confession to make. I hate pumpkin pie. Loathe. Maybe that’s a better word. I’ve tried to choke down a bite every single Thanksgiving and regardless, my taste buds reject it every time. I don’t get it. I like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin spice lattes, and anything else that the stores stock on the shelves during the month of October…but pumpkin pie? Noooope. Can’t. Do. It.
I know I’m in a segregated group of weirdo’s, but alas, here I am. Pumpkin pie-less. Until today!
With a few simple adjustments, this pumpkin rice krispy treat pie is a solid replacement for the Thanksgiving staple. (And one I’d gladly eat instead!)
I can’t believe that we’re even talking about this right now, but Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner! This year has flown by, but I’m not mad that the colder months are almost behind us. (You hear that Utah…? Stop snowing please!) When it comes to Cinco de Mayo, the food and drinks are the most important, right? But you still need some festive decor to get those party guests in the mood for a fiesta! This printable Cinco de Mayo taco banner is a cinch to make and will put everyone in the feasting spirit!
It snowed in Utah today. Snow. Apparently Spring decided to stay on vacation this year, because she doesn’t seem to be showing up anytime soon. So, until warmer weather decides to come my way, I’ll just have to force a little bit of ambiance inside. This adorable printable cactus cake topper has me dreaming of warmer Arizona days. I was there last month for Spring Training with a friend, and we went on a cactus quest. My love for cacti runs deep and Arizona doesn’t disappoint in the cactus department.
I can’t even handle how gorg these little beauties are. I went a little picture crazy on this post, just because I had a really hard time narrowing them down. So you guys will just have to suffer through them along with me, although I don’t think you’ll complain. 😉
I’ve seen similar posts floating around the internet but I wanted to try some floral cubes out for myself, and after making these rose ice cubes, I’m totally jumping on the floral bandwagon. They are just SO PRETTY!
With a little patience and my water trick to help make your finished cubes super clear, you’ll be
smelling sipping on roses in no time.

If you guys are anything like me, your pets are members of your family. And including them during the holiday season is a no-brainer for me! Just like the rest of my family, they each have their very own stocking and they also get a festive holiday dinner, just like the rest of the family! I also like to put together a fun little gift basket for each of them every year.
It’s a really fun way to include them during the holidays and even though they probably don’t understand the whole “holiday” thing, they sure do get excited when they smell treats! 😉 If you have dogs or a family member or friend with a dog, you’ll definitely want to make sure to include a dog holiday gift basket on your shopping list this year!
In today’s post I’m sharing some easy ideas for you to put together your very own dog holiday gift basket for your own four-legged family members! And if you don’t have a dog, putting one together for a friend or for your local animal shelter is just as much fun too!
