A delicious and easy to make red velvet ice cream filled with yummy chocolate chunks!

Red Velvet Ice CreamWith Valentine’s day right around the corner, I figured I’d share a love of my own with you guys…Red Velvet.

For those of you that might not know, red velvet is actually just chocolate flavors dyed with red food coloring. It can also be dyed using fresh beets, but if I have any excuse to use chocolate, you can bet that I’m going to go the chocolate route! And I can’t just have a little bit of chocolate either…I’m adding as much as possible!

Red Velvet Ice CreamFor this month’s ice cream recipe, I’m making red velvet ice cream with chocolate chunks!

Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream

Jan 4 2016 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Chocolate Cherry Ice CreamI love the feeling of a new year. It just seems to ooze the possibility of a new start, a clean slate, a fresh beginning. Everyone is back on the same playing field. Well, everyone that is just barely starting to get back into the habit of something new, that is. For all of you that have just kept doing what you’ve been doing all along and are now sitting back and laughing at the rest of us struggle to get through a full class at Cardio Barre, you don’t count. And yes, I may be speaking from personal experience.

Either way, anything that helps to spark a positive change, is a-ok in my book. I am trying to get back into a healthy workout and eating regimine and really want to get some things organized around my house. I feel like my entire life is in pure choas when things don’t have a set place to go and when I can’t find what I need when I need it. Yep, 2016 is going to be a year of progression for me. Health and wellness progress and organization and home project progress. Are you guys trying to make some changes in your lives this year? If so, what are you trying to accomplish in 2016?

Chocolate Cherry Ice CreamIf your goal is to eat more ice cream, then today’s post will totally help you achieve that goal! I’m sharing an easy recipe for chocolate cherry ice cream and let me just say, that it really is THAT GOOD.

Sweet Potato Ice Cream

Nov 23 2015 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Sweet Potato Ice CreamIt’s here! Turkey week and the official coundown to Thanksgiving is on!

Not going to lie, I’m probably more excited for Black Friday, but if you ask the hubs, it’s all about the turkey, sides, and the snacks too.

Oh, and don’t forget the dessert!

He’s definitely a sucker for fresh pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream, but I’m going to switch things up a little bit this year and serve his slice with something else on the side.

No, not vanilla ice cream. Sweet potato ice cream!

Wait…what? SWEET. POTATO. ICE. CREAM.?!

Yep, you heard right. I’m mixing up that typical veggie made for a casserole, and turning it into dessert!

Black Licorice Ice Cream Spiders

Oct 30 2015 by Ashley Leave a Comment

Black Licorice Ice Cream SpidersThe witching hour is almost upon us, and what am I doing? Making ice cream.

Black licorice ice cream, to be exact.

I was never really a fan of black licorice until I got older. I feel like one day I just woke up and started liking it. Weird? Maybe. But either way, I’m sold now and I couldn’t let Halloween pass by without concocting a little bit of my own black magic.

But black licorice ice cream alone isn’t much fun. I needed to add a little something…

And that something turned out to be eyeballs and some creepy legs. And before I knew it, black licorice ice cream spiders were born!
