These DIY football party cups are easy to make, fun, and perfect for tailgating or the big game! Find out how to make them in less than 30 minutes!
We’re a little over a week away from the big game and I’m getting party ready over here! The big game is all about great football, friends, family, and FOOD, of course! I’m always looking for fun serving ideas and today’s project is easy and great for football fans, little tykes, and those people who have no clue who’s even playing this year. 😉 These DIY football party cups can be used to hold your favorite drinks, or you can use them like I did, and load them up with everything that’s yummy instead!
These DIY football party cups would also be perfect to use when the next season starts for tailgating or even just to snack on the comfort of your own couch!
There are 5 fun designs already ready for you to use. All you have to do is download and print the file! There are even a couple of options to choose from for those people who have no clue what’s happening on the screen and are just there to score some game day snacks. Yay sports!
I used printable tattoo paper to create the seamless look on the cups, and although it might seem complicated, they are actually super easy! You can create them from start to finish in about 20 minutes!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Printable Football Party Cups Graphic File
- Printable Tattoo Paper
- Styrofoam Cups
- Damp Cloth or Paper Towel
- Scissors
First, print the file onto your tattoo paper, following the instructions listed with your sheets. The images will be reversed, so don’t freak out when you see that! That is how you want them so that the tattoo goes onto your cup in the right direction.
Once prepped and ready to apply, cut out each image. Be sure to cut as close to the image as possible to reduce the amount of visible tattoo sheet that will show up on your finished cups.
Peel off the plastic protection sheet (the clear one) over your tattoo and place the tattoo, sticky side down, onto your cups where you want them.
Apply a damp paper towel over the top of your tattoo, completely covering the paper backing. Press and hold for 10-15 seconds. (It’s usually done when you can see your tattoo design through the back of the white backing sheet).
Remove the paper towel and slowly peel off the paper backing to reveal your finished design.
Allow the tattoo to dry completely and then fill them up with your favorites snacks, treats, or drinks!
A few of my favorite game day snacks include Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels and Pop Secret® Popcorn! They are easy snacks that everyone loves, and other than microwaving the popcorn, require no prep work! (My favorite!) These little DIY football party cups are also perfect for the kids to carry their snacks around in too!
I grabbed my game day snacks at Target in the popcorn and snack aisle. I picked out the mini pretzels and movie theater butter popcorn (of course!), but there were a ton of other delicious options too!
