Easy Apple and Brie Appetizer

Easy Apple and Brie AppetizerEasy Apple and Brie AppetizerI couldn’t help but squeeze one last blog post into 2019, because this one is so simple and is a perfect appetizer to make to ring in the new year! My family has an on-going new year’s eve dinner tradition that I love. We always get together as a family to game plan our appetizer line up, then my mom gathers all the ingredients and makes all the yummy treats. (Don’t worry…we help too). For “dinner” we just fill up our plates with snacks. What’s better than that?! You get a little taste of everything and can keep going back for more until you’re stuffed! It’s the perfect way to indulge one last time before the holiday season is over. Whether you’re braving the crowd to celebrate with friends or staying in and celebrating in pj’s and eating appetizers like me, this easy apple and brie appetizer takes no time to throw together so you can enjoy them before heading out, bring them with you to a party, or snack on them while hanging on the couch.

Easy Apple and Brie AppetizerHere’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • 2 Granny Smith Apples, Sliced
  • 1 Cup Walnuts, Halved
  • 16 Oz. Brie Cheese, Sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Honey

For this recipe, I use Granny Smith apples because the tartness really pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the honey and the creamy brie cheese. You can use regular walnuts, but candied walnuts would be amazing for this appetizer too.

On a platter or serving tray, arrange the sliced apples.

Warm up the brie cheese a little bit before slicing. You still want to be able to slice it easily, but I like mine to be a little soft and gooey when I put it on the apples.

Place the brie slices on top of the apple slices and top with a walnut half, squishing them a little bit into the soft brie.

Drizzle with honey.

Easy Apple and Brie AppetizerIt’s that simple and this easy apple and brie appetizer is delish! They’ll be a hit at your party and won’t last long.

For a fancier serving idea, cut the apples slices in half and serving them in a serving spoon (like these). Top with the brie, walnuts, and honey like normal.

Easy Apple and Brie AppetizerThis easy apple and brie appetizer with be on the menu at our house this year. I hope you guys make them too!
