We’re probably not trick or treating this year, but we are still trying to make Halloween just as fun at our house. I’m going to plan a fun little scavenger hunt and I plan on having lots of candy around the house too! But instead of the usual candy and chocolate, I’m going to dress things up a bit to make them a bit more fun using these printable Halloween candy wrappers! They are free to download and print and so simple to use! [Read more…]

One of my favorite things about traveling is the food. Whenever a new travel destination is booked on my calendar, I dive deep into researching the best spots to eat, must try desserts, and local hot spots to indulge in the best a region has to offer. It’s a great way to experience a culture and even just trying new and unexpected flavor combinations before taking a trip, can inspire you to plan one too! And that is why I’m loving the three new M&M’S® flavors that were just released! I feel like I’m traveling with Internationally-Inspired M&M’S® candies every time I open up a new bag! [Read more…]
Creepy, crawly, and delicious DIY homemade gummy worms make the perfect October Halloween treat! And the recipe is so easy!
No matter how old I get, I still love gummy worms! I sneak them into my cart at the grocery store check out, grab a bag of them at the gas station, and my fellow passengers can almost always count on them as a road trip staple. But, this month, in honor of my very favorite holiday, I figured that I’d take a stab (no Halloween pun intended) at making one of my favorite sweets. These DIY homemade gummy worms turned out even better than I planned and now I’m a convert. They are more flavorful than the store bought ones and I got to pick out my own flavors too. Plus, during the month of October, these little guys seem especially fitting! Who doesn’t love creepy, crawly, and delicious gummy worms during Halloween?!
Today’s delicious project definitely borders on the line of gross and cute. I can’t decide where I’m at on this one. BUT, given that it’s a Halloween project and I’m all about upping the gruesome factor, I’m going to consider it a win either way. These edible halloween brain raspberry truffles are easy to make and will gross out all of your party guests! They would make the perfect mad scientist themed treat, or will excite even the hungriest group of zombies. So head into the lab, grab a scalpel, and let’s harvest some braaains!
These edible floral chocolate bars are a cinch to make and would be a gorgeous gift idea too! Check out the easy recipe!
Don’t get me wrong. I like flowers, but I LOVE chocolate. I’ll always pick something edible over something that’s going to wilt and die in a few days. BUT, combine the two together and you have a winning combination on your hands! These edible floral chocolate bars are a CINCH to make, are gorgeous (no, really, I am sharing 8 million photos because they are just too pretty), and would make the perfect gift for mom this mother’s day! They’d also be great to gift to a bestie, or honestly, just to make and enjoy yourself! Who really wants to give these away anyway…? Not me!
There’s been a whole lot of champagne around here lately, but really, could there be a better time for it? (Let’s be honest, any time is a good time for Champagne). New Years Eve is on Friday and I’m prepped and ready to celebrate with a few bottles of bubbly, Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper. Those two seriously crack me up every year!
I might also add a few lollipops to the agenda. Candy is a food group in my house, at least until the January 1st diet’s start calling my name. So I’m going to live it up and enjoy all the sugar I want until then.
If you are anything like me, you have an appointment at your accountant’s office this afternoon.
Waiting until the last minute…? You could say that. I just like
procrastinating adrenaline. Yep…that’s it.
Hopefully, you have a nice little deposit headed to your bank account soon, but, if not, you can help yourself feel a little bit better by making these DIY chocolate gems instead. They might not be a hefty cash payment from the government, but they are covered in edible gold dust. That’s gotta count for something.
