Christmas is right around the corner and although I won’t be shaking up festive drinks or making fancy appetizers for friends this year, I’m still going to imagine the party that will be going down next year, complete with this Christmas cocktail party playlist blaring through the speakers! And, until then, I’m going to dance around in my sweatpants instead!
If anyone needs a little ray of sunshine right now today’s cocktail recipe will do just that! These blood orange gin and tonics are not only delicious and easy to make, they are also SO pretty! Plus, I know you are all sitting at home right now (or you should be!) so you have the time to mix one of them up!
Also, I need to address that, yes, this post was supposed to be the March cocktail of the month, but I got behind and was focused on other things, like spring break getting canceled and heading home in the middle of the corona virus quarantine. But, lucky for you guys, you get TWO cocktail recipes and videos this month instead! Woohoooo! If you haven’t followed along with my cute (and free!) printable cocktail calendar yet, being stuck at home for the next month is definitely a good time to jump on board.
Life’s been a little crazy lately, as per usual, and I feel like I’m playing catch up around here, but there’s been SO much going on in our little rental house. Josh left for Florida to head back to work for the upcoming baseball season, I started a new job here in Charlotte, which I’m still getting used to after taking the last four months off, and we’ve been knee deep in alllll the house plans, which I’ll be sharing more about soon. But despite how chaotic things have gotten, I wasn’t about to miss out on posting the recipe for this Valentine’s day passion cocktail, which also happens to be the February cocktail of the month! It’s easy to make and makes enough for two! Which means you can share it with someone special, your bestie, or just refill your own glass when it’s getting a little low.
Due to the lovely rainy weather in Charlotte lately, there was a slight delay in getting this month’s calendar cocktail shot and posted on the blog, but it’s finally here! (And I even shot a video too! Find it below.) These grapefruit rosemary mules are crisp, refreshing, and I love the citrus kick from the fresh grapefruit. The cocktail recipe is an easy one and I’m sharing the easy way to make your own rosemary flavored simple syrup too!
To say that I’m obsessed with this year’s printable calendar is an understatement. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved each any every year from the past (hello snack calendar!), but this idea behind this printable 2020 cocktail calendar is so fun and the hand drawn cocktail images are a fave of mine. I hope you guys are ready to learn how to make a year’s worth of delicious cocktails!

My favorite holiday is almost upon us and I can’t wait! Halloween entertaining is what I live for and finding new spooky themed cocktails is on the agenda every year. And this year is no exception! I turned to some old school horror movies that I remember hearing about when I was younger (but was never allowed to watch) for inspiration. These movies always get me into the Halloween spirit and sparked some great inspiration for a dark and moody Halloween cocktail too! Black crows will always trigger a bit of unease, due in part to one of these classic movies, but after watching the movie in the dark, while sipping this cocktail, you’ll be wondering if you need to worry about losing an eye to the birds when your back is turned. 😉

Now that Fall is officially here and football has started, it’s time to roll out all of those delicious football party recipes! Snacks are great, but a good football cocktail recipe can go a long way. And this one is a winner! It’s light, refreshing, and delicious! Plus, it’s the perfect crisp drink to pair with your favorite salty snacks. The flavors appeal to a crowd and they’re so fast and easy to make that you can mix up a batch in no time!
I’m all about a yummy citrus cocktail, especially in the middle of citrus season when citrus fruits are at their peak. And one that’s easy to make AND gorgeous? SOLD.
Luckily, this easy paloma cocktail recipe hits all the marks. It’s full of delicious grapefruit, is oh so pretty, and even has a grapefruit sugar rim…what’s not to like? When you see how simple it is to make, it might just become your new fave. (It’s definitely one of mine!)
