I take my donuts very seriously. Some might consider me a donut connoisseur, but I just consider myself a huge fan. Glazed, sprinkled, filled, or plain, I love them all and don’t discriminate. So it was only a matter of time before I tried to tackle a project that’s been on my radar for awhile…finding all of the best donuts in Utah! If you’re a donut fan and a Utah local, or just passing through, I’ve done all of the hard (and delicious) work for you. I traveled around and tried out all of the best spots to get donuts in Utah and picked my faves. Plus, I’m even sharing a printable map with you guys so that you can travel around the state of Utah and eat donuts too!
Donut and Wine Pairings (+ a printable!)
You’ve all heard of wine and cheese pairings, but with National Donut Day so close, I’m kicking it up a notch with a fun twist on tradition. These donut and wine pairings are a fun way to celebrate the upcoming best day of the year foodie holiday, or any day for that matter! Plus, I’m including a pairing printable that you can download and print to use for your own tasting experience or party! Trust me….these pairings are delish! 😉
Cake Hacks: Donut Hole Cake
I’m a huge donut fan. If I can find a way to include them in my everyday, you know I’m going to take it. So it was only a matter of time before I found a way to incorporate donuts with cake! This easy donut hole cake hack not only saves you time, stress, and a messy kitchen, but it looks and tastes great too!
Chocolate Sprinkle Donut Fries
No one will be able to resist these chocolate sprinkle donut fries, complete with a printable donut themed fry container! Just in time for national donut day!
Guys, there aren’t many things that top my happy list more often than donuts. They are one of my fave treats and have been for as long as I can remember. There’s just something so satisfying about those golden fried (or baked…if you’re going for healthy…) round pastries with holes in the middle and sprinkles on top. Don’t ask me how a pastry can make me so happy, but it does and I’m not about to question it! With national donut day only two weeks away, I wanted to create something fun and different that will elevate your donuts to a whole other level. May I introduce you to…drum roll please….chocolate sprinkle donut fries!
Sweet Stop: Beyond Glaze
I’ve never met a donut I didn’t like. Ok, maaaybe there might have been one in all of the years of my donut consumption, but my track record is pretty good.
And you know your donut obsession is bad when your friends send you text messages of new donut themed items they find while shopping so that you don’t miss out.
Either way, I knew that for this month’s sweet stop, a donut was in order. It’s been long enough for other sweets to take the spotlight, but I’m bringing the donut back today.
If you’re familiar with donuts in Utah, we definitely have some stand out winners. And Beyond Glaze is definitely one of them!
Pop Rock Donuts
Summer is upon us and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s been consistently around 100 degrees here for the last couple of days, but you won’t hear any complaints coming from me. I’d much rather take these high temps than snow or rain any day! Plus, these warm summer nights are complete perfection.
You know what else is perfection…? These red, white, and blue pop rock donuts that I made for the 4th of July!
Vanilla cake donuts paired with a vanilla glaze and topped off with pop rocks to create the perfect “firework” flavor explosion in your mouth.
These donuts are fun and festive and perfect for the kids too!
And did I mention that they are beyond delish…? If not, they are beyond delish too. 😉
DIY Donut Door Mat
(DIY fruit planters. Cute runners).
I’ll use any excuse I can to get a donut into a DIY project. Donuts might just be my favorite thing ever and if they are covered in sprinkles to boot, I’m a goner. No really…ask my sister how many donut runs we tend to make on the regular. Probably more than I’d like to admit…
I’ve been on the look out for a new door mat, pretty much all winter, since our weather was so mild this year. Usually, the snow tends to hide my lack of curb appeal in the colder months but not this year. Our old mat has been staring me in the face for months! It’s falling apart and I’m just slightly embarrassed to say that it might be rocking christmas colors at this very moment. (How did May get here already?!).
Turns out, the cutest mats that I’d seen were all DIY ones. So, of course, I committed to making my own and I can’t say that I’m mad about the results. I even heard the hubs say it was “cute”. That’s a total win in my book.
This DIY donut door mat was soooo easy to make and you could easily do it in an afternoon too.
